Paloma Hurtado

Paloma Hurtado de la Cruz was bron in Málaga in February/ 1987. In 2007 she get the Medium Degree of Contemporary Dance at the Royal Proffesional Dance Conservatory in Madrid. Courses in Spain and Europe : Jos Baker, Milan Kilvaldy, Milan Tomasik, David Zambrano, Jozef Fruzek & Linda Kapetanea, Laura Aris & Jorge Jauregui, Ben Fury, Anthon Lachky, Jorge Jauregui, Nordine Benchorfe,Libby Farr, Elena Postigo, Jonh King, Ximena Carnevale, Valery Kirianov, Valentina Letova, Alexandra Ruiz Macias, Pino Alonso, Pedro de la Cruz, Gema Bautista,Angelique Willkie ,Benoît Lachambre, Elena Postigo, Karim Karim, Randall Scout, Jennifer Man , Jyrki Karttmen, Helge Musial , Olga Cobos,Fernando Hurtado, Rasmus Ölme, Meike Schönhutte, Thomé Araujo, Joaquín López, José Reches, Win Vandekeybus, Robert Haydn, Nordine Benchorf, Iñaki Azpillaga, Eduardo Torroja, Michelle Boullet, Carolin Carlson, Larrio Ekson, Alain Gruttadauria, Christine Tanguay, Fernando Vera, Kany, Jose Cao, Hisako Horikawa. She participates in dance competitions in Madrid, Galicia, Andalucía, Castellón, Maspalomas, getting the honour mention for the best dancer in the last one (2003). Dancer in some projects (theatre, opera and dance performances) in Andalusia (2001-2004) and Madrid(2004-2007). Since 2007, she works in tenerifedanzalab, a laboratory of contemporary dance resident in the Tenerife Opera House, working with international choreographers (Tino Fernández and Juliana Reyes/ L’explose, Anne Lebatarde/ Ex Nihilo, Edmond Russo and Shlomi Twizer/ Affari Esteri, Ido Yoshiko, Daniel Abreu, Lea Martini and Chris Leuenberg/ White Horse,….).
She creates Paloma.pieLdEarenA in 2014, trying to generate a place to speak through the body about the soul and everything that touch it, in order to share thoughts and emotions, and comunicate from heart to heart with another people. The language she uses is somewhere between contemporary dance, dance-theatre and phisical theatre.

In the last four years she has create some solos (Presencia en la Ausencia, Dakini, Tiana), some duets (Tulipán en tierra muerta, ääniä, Iwa Pele) and some coral pieces (Camille Claudel bio-sinfonía, Träd, 15º al Oeste) . “To life is to be in movement, to dance is to feel alive”.
